I’ve put together a Blues playlist on Spotify that I’ll be actively curating. The focus here is what I think is real blues. That’s very subjective and it might say more about me than the music I’ve chosen. I rate blues based on intent. By that I mean if I feel the tune was recorded with proper spirit rather than “authentic” form I’ll throw it in there. For that reason the list will keep a focus on music that I feel legitemately conveys love, loss, regret as much as sexuality, fear of the devil, fear of a God and a hearty dose of songs about good times.
