I was wondering if it’s possible to improvise a classical musical piece.  It’s nearly counter intuitive since the various forms of classical music are dictated by forms.  Here’s an attempt.  The title comes from the fact that my hands were not in good shape at the time.

The piece was recorded in two sections, I took a break for four minutes before doing part two.  As a result they’re slightly different sonically as I shifted in my chair.  This is all Guitarviol recorded with an condenser microphone and a ribbon mic to get the in-the-room sound.

The photo is of a painted panel in Erfurt Cathedral that I took in April, 2014.  Rather ironically, the unicorn is a symbol of virgin purity in medieval religious art.  The “purity” of playing in the moment seemed to fit the concept here.
